This is one of our standard SR-13 masonry heater core systems with our new white oven design. The soapstone for the facing of this heater was donated by Alberene Soapstone in Schuyler Virgina and the doors where donated by Solid Rock Masonry for the Masonry Heater Associations annual auction. We fabricated the soapstone while teaching a workshop at the MHA annual meeting where we were teaching other masons how to fabricate soapstone for masonry heater building. We built this heater in northern NC with the help of Willy, an awesome local mason that lived near the homeowners.
