SR-32 Grundofen German designed masonry heater. The firebox and door are both large, measuring 32". Finished with a mixture of 7 different stones as per the designer. This stove features a large wood box on the side of the heater.
The project involved building a large DIY masonry heater and bake oven. The project was completed with a dry-stack-styled Montana ledgestone, complemented by soapstone accents.
This Russian masonry heater features an 18" firebox. The radius design is finished with local MN stone and stucco.

The unit features a wood-fired firebox with a black cast-iron glass door, an integrated bake oven set above the firebox, and an SR-16 x 48" steel wood box built into the left side. The heater is faced in natural stone with a cast concrete hearth and cap. As a radiant heat storage appliance, the SR-22HBO stores heat from a short 2 to 3 hour burn and releases it steadily over 12 to 24 hours. Built on the SR Core refractory firebox system.
