The SR-22FB 2222 is the gasketed glass firebox door used on the SR Core refractory firebox system manufactured by Solid Rock Masonry LLC. This photo shows the door in service during a typical 2 to 3 hour burn, the single hot fire that charges a masonry heater. Heat from that burn is absorbed by the refractory core and the surrounding masonry mass, then radiated back into the living space over the following 12 to 24 hours. The door seals the firebox so combustion air is controlled and secondary combustion stays hot and clean. SR Core firebox kits and complete masonry heaters are built by Eric Moshier, Certified Heater Mason, ASTM E1602 committee member, and MHA Technical Committee member, serving northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Midwest.
