Features a custom oversized brass SR-13 firebox door fabricated by Solid Rock Masonry Heat in Duluth MN. The round tower form and white glazed tile finish are hallmarks of the Swedish Kakelugn tradition, well suited to Scandinavian influenced interiors and homes with Scandinavian heritage. Fire shown during active firing through the open brass door. The green tile wall behind the heater was designed to complement the white tile heater. SR-22FB masonry heater firebox door with 22.25-inch wide pyroceramic glass, shown during active firing with a full fuel charge. SR firebox doors are fabricated in Duluth, MN using North American refractories and steel with pyroceramic glass sourced from Germany. Each SR door includes an air frame supplying 100 percent of required combustion air for the firebox size, with the proper ratio of preheated underfire and overfire air for clean combustion, plus an air wash system to keep the glass clean during firing. A masonry heater black bake oven integrated into a natural stone heater, photographed during active firing. In a black oven configuration, flames and hot combustion gases pass directly through the oven chamber before entering the heat exchange channels, rapidly bringing the oven to high temperatures. The oven door above and firebox door below are both visible, showing the direct relationship between the firebox fire and oven heating. Black oven temperatures exceed 1,000 degrees F during firing, cooling to pizza temperature approximately two hours after the fire and holding bread-baking temperature three to four hours after firing.
