We traveled down by Port Washington WI to build a Kakelugn or Swedish Tile stove.  The client imported the tile stove from www.lindholm-kakelugnar.com in Sweden.  The folks at Lindholm find old tile stoves that are going to be thrown away.  The arrange to recycle the stove and save it from the dump.  So they go and they  number tiles, lable them and carefully dismantle and package them to be rebuilt at another date.  You can few their inventory on their website.

We needed to change how this heater was originally built in Sweden to fit within the way masonry heaters need to be built according to the International Residential Building Code here in the US.  This mainly had to do with clearance issues and masonry thicknesses in the firebox.
